PATCHING
Keep your parking lot safe by repairing failed areas and potholes.
ASPHALT PATCHING
Repair failed asphalt as soon as possible to avoid future liabilities and increased repair costs.
Potholes are a trip hazard for pedestrians and can cause damages to vehicles. If repairs are not made the failed area will continue to grow - resulting in a higher cost to repair.

ASPHALT REPAIR FOR ALL BUDGETS
Quick and low-cost options for pothole repair include cold patching and surface patching. These options will not correct the underlying issues that caused the failed asphalt area in the first place and often require additional repairs in the future.
Removal and replacement is the most durable repair option since it is the only option that corrects the underlying issues that created the pothole in the first place. It is also the most expensive repair option since it requires more time, equipment, and labor when compared to cold patching and surface patching.
Cold Patching - Fills pothole gabs with commercial-grade asphalt material without using heat and compaction during the application process.
Cold patching is the quickest and cheapest repair option since it can be applied easily without the need for heavy equipment.
The largest problem with cold patching is that it lacks the heat and compaction required for asphalt strength/bonding. The pothole will continue to grow as water continues to penetrate the damaged area. Cold patch repairs should be used as a “band-aid” that keeps pavement safe until long-term repairs are made.
Surface Patching - Paves layer of hot asphalt over damaged areas.
Surface patching is more durable than cold patching and will last longer before additional repairs are needed. However, like cold patching, it does not address the underlying issues that created the damages in the first place and will likely require additional repairs in the future.
Surface patched areas cannot remove water that reached the damaged area underneath. As a result, the asphalt subbase will continue to weaken as the penetrated water freezes in the winter.
Removal and Replacement - Cuts and removes damaged asphalt and replaces with new.
Removal and replacement is the best option for long-term pothole repair. The ability to removed damaged areas and properly compact the heated asphalt results in repairs that look better and last longer when compared to surface patching.
The process begins by cutting out square areas of damaged asphalt. The cut area is then removed and hauled away. New heated asphalt replaces the damaged asphalt and compacted to enhance strength and durability. Because of the time and equipment needed to remove and replace asphalt, it is also the most expensive repair option.
